EAHTR is developing a new online forum for heritage specialists called 'Heritage Zone' - funded by the EU Culture Programme. The site is now ready for development and can be found at http://www.heritagezone.net. The site has many of the familiar characteristics of current popular social networking sites such as FaceBook and MySpace. The difference here is that the site can be tailored to meet the specific needs of people with a common interest - namely specialists working in the field of cultural heritage and the historic environment. We are now looking for volunteers to work with the design team to help develop ideas on content - prior to opening the site to general membership across Europe. Please let Brian Smith at EAHTR know if you would be interested in helping get this exciting new initiative off the ground.
