Latest HTF updates and events

Dear HTF Member/Subscriber

I hope 2013 is going well for you!

While it has been somewhat quiet on the surface things have been very busy in the HTF office.

The first piece of important news is that after the end of our contract with UWE, we have negotiated hosting at Kellogg College, University of Oxford. We are very happy to say we have been working in close partnership with the Association of Small Historic Towns and Villages, with whom we share an office at Kellogg. Our new contact details are:

Historic Towns Forum, Kellogg College, 60-62 Banbury Road, Oxford, OX14 1PN
Telephone: 01865 612033; 07947 521567

The second piece of news is that HTF events are back on! Our first for 2013 on 29 April at BDB in London: and is entitled: Planning Legislation update – The NPPF, Neighbourhood Planning, Taylor Review, and the Red Tape Challenge. Where are we, exactly?

With expert speakers from legal planning, DCLG, Locality, English Heritage, the Historic Towns Forum, and with prices from as low as £50 it is an event you should attend! To book and read more about the event, please click on the link above.

We have also produced a publication dealing with current heritage legislation to accompany the event – this is now available within the next week for download, so please do check back to our website for this: and to our forthcoming newsletter which will be out after Easter.

More events are planned for St Albans in May, Milton Keynes in the summer, Durham in October and Poundbury in November with practical workshops of neighbourhood planning in between, so watch this space!

With very best wishes
